back in philly.
uploading tapes from 99’. have not uploaded tapes in a few years now. this digital revolution has me spoiled. dumping footage > digitizing in real time any day. just finished 3rd draft of script now trying to start prepping it for a DP. been having a tough time sleeping as of late. comes in spells. generally always around a full moon. sometimes 3 days before or 3 days after. the number 3 has ALWAYS bee strong in my life. put a mean dent during my stay in silver spring these last two days. feels good to be working with a collaborator who actually works hard. makes a world of a difference. had to videotape myself on camera today. can not stand to see or hear myself on cam. much rather prefer being behind the camera. although this go around im making a much stronger effort to document myself working. my baby sister is having a boy. his name will be Daniel. she is breaking the nuclear familial tradition of Ts. im glad at the possibilities of being an Auntie again. especially the chance to document another life.

fashion & film.
ive been paying close attention to the evolution of fashion film over the past few years. filmmakers known and many unknown have teamed up with designers to create some really cool and provocative works. it all comes down to what i think many of us hold true with regards to the things we love whether they be brand new pieces of clothing or older thrift finds. YSL’s Stefano Pilati’s films have been a fave of mine as of recent, as well as Rodarte’s film vids.
stories make inanimate objects better and more desirable. period.
for a super random example. i just saw this video for the Repton Boxing Club this morning. I LOVE boxing and even spent 6 months at one point in my life attempting to become one. I never even made it to sparing. So when i saw this video Directed by Alasdair McLellan this morning i was immediately taken back to that time in my life and also found myself wanting to learn more about what the boxers were wearing in the short film. I immediately found myself really wanting to have the Navy Polo that the main boxer had on as well as the Striped T. I ended up laughing at myself because i literally own simalar pieces but something about the story made me want that EXACT polo and t-shirt. But then i remebered why i even went to the Sunspel site in the first place.
it was simply about the narrative of the boxers. the story made it better.
